The future of civilization rests in the fate of the One Ring, which has been lost for centuries. Powerful forces are unrelenting in their search for it. But fate has placed it in the hands of a young Hobbit named Frodo Baggins, who inherits the Ring and steps into legend. A daunting task lies ahead for Frodo when he becomes the Ringbearer as his assigned duty is to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged. The Fellowship's journey is coming to an end. Sauron's forces have attacked Gondor in his final siege against mankind, and the once great kingdom has never been in more desperate need of its king. Will Aragorn find the strength to meet his destiny? As Gandalf desperately tries to move the broken forces of Gondor to act, Theoden unites the warriors of Rohan to join in the fight. Even in their courage and passionate loyalty, the forces of men are no match against the swarming legions of enemies raining down on the kingdom. Despite their great losses, The Fellowship charges forward to keep Sauron distracted and give Frodo a chance to complete his quest. Traveling across treacherous enemy lands, Frodo must rely increasingly on Sam and Gollum as The Ring continues to test his allegiance and, ultimately, his humanity.

This is far and away the best book I've read this year (you can read my review HERE) and I can't recommend this book enough. Be sure to enter this one!
